Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the lihtc.guide website and the LIHTC Guide app for iPhone and iPad (together, “LIHTC Guide”), run by A. J. Johnson Consulting Services, Inc. (“we”). By using LIHTC Guide you agree to them.

The service

LIHTC Guide is a reference and calculation tool for people who administer the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program: a library of statutes, regulations and guidance, calculators and lookups, news, and an AI assistant. Some features are free, some need a free account, and some need a paid subscription.

Not legal or tax advice

LIHTC Guide helps you work, but it isn’t legal, tax or compliance advice, and it doesn’t replace the official sources, your state housing agency, or your own professional judgment. Calculator results depend on what you enter. Answers from the AI assistant are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete; check them against the cited source before relying on them. You are responsible for the decisions you make.

Your account

Keep access to your email account secure, since sign-in codes are sent there. You’re responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or by emailing support@lihtc.guide.

Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are purchased on lihtc.guide and billed by Stripe, at the price and billing period shown at checkout.
• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account on lihtc.guide; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Deleting your account cancels the subscription immediately.
• For billing questions, including refunds, contact support@lihtc.guide.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse LIHTC Guide: no attempts to break into or overload it, no scraping or bulk copying of the library, no sharing your account, and no submitting content you don’t have the right to share. Please don’t enter tenants’ names or other identifying details into Chat or the analysis tools.

Content

Public laws, regulations and government guidance belong to everyone. Our own writing, summaries, tools and design are ours, and you may use them for your work but not republish or resell them. You keep ownership of what you save in LIHTC Guide; we use it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep LIHTC Guide accurate and available but can’t promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and it is provided “as is”. We may change or discontinue features, and will update these terms and the date above when we do.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of LIHTC Guide, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
